Our Team

Dr. Kearns is a clinical neuropsychologist who has served children and adults in Everett for 17 years. He completed his doctorate in clinical psychology at George Fox University before completing his internship in the VA Healthcare system and his residency training through the University of Tennessee Health Sciences in Memphis, TN. During his residency, he served veterans at the VAMC and cared for adults and children with a wide variety of developmental and acquired neurological presentations through the Semmes-Murphey Clinic.

As a lifespan neuropsychologist, Dr. Kearns has had the pleasure of assisting children and adolescents with a variety of developmental concerns, including ADHD, learning difficulties, intellectual disability, and autism. He has also been honored to help young people with a variety of neurological presentations and brain-based conditions, such as brain injuries, tumors, Chiari malformations, etc. Along with accurately identifying their strengths and needs, Dr. Kearns works with patients and families to consider optimal school or workplace accommodations to enable each individual to perform at their best.  As an avid sports fan, he appreciates working with athletes to manage the effects of concussions and work toward protecting them from further injury as they continue to enjoy their preferred sports.

Dr. Kearns also has a wealth of experience working with adults with developmental concerns like ADHD and autism, and helping individuals to identify and treat neurological and psychiatric conditions that may limit the quality of their lives. Dr. Kearns also has extensive experience helping older adults and their families navigate the challenges associated with cognitive decline.

Dr. Kearns worked as a public school music teacher for over a decade before returning to graduate school with the intention of becoming a full-time psychotherapist. His love for the “puzzle” aspect of neuropsychological assessment emerged during his graduate school years, although his roots in teaching and therapy run deep. As a result, he strives to make an evaluation a collaborative exploration of one's strengths and challenges, focused on how to help them have the happiest and most fulfilling future. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children, playing jazz with numerous ensembles in the Pacific Northwest, and sailing.

Dr. Lee Kearns

Clinical Neuropsychologist

Dr. Reilly has worked as a neuropsychologist in Everett, Washington, since completing her post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology and brain imaging research at Dartmouth Medical School in 2012. She conducts a full range of neuropsychological services including comprehensive evaluation of cognitive and psychiatric disorders in adult and older adult populations. Some of her special interests include assessment for the presence of adult ADHD and early signs of dementia. Her greatest joy comes from working with individuals and their families to help cope with, and hopefully overcome, any problems that have risen in everyday life. In addition, she has 13 years of experience in forensic (litigation) cases associated with head injury, historically testifying on the behalf of claimants and defendants equally.

“I look at the whole person. Not only do I assess current symptoms, I consider the individuals circumstances, historical background, needs, support systems, personality characteristics, and emotional well-being in order to create a plan for appropriate treatment. I understand how stressful and nerve-racking this evaluation process can be. Oftentimes anxiety is mistaken for early signs of dementia and cognitive problems tend to be more pronounced in the context of stress or depression. Through this comprehensive process, I am able to differentiate between memory and attention difficulties, mood disturbance, normal age-related changes, and other possible etiologies for cognitive struggles, some of which might be reversible. “

“Making these services more accessible and comfortable for each and every individual is my goal. I aim to reduce the stigma and stereotypes surrounding mental health, as well as provide patients with a greater understanding of any particular disorder that might be revealed during this process. My hope is to provide a personalized and detailed approach to management of cognitive weaknesses, as well as outline a roadmap for patients and families regarding next steps to pursue. “

On a more personal note, Dr. Reilly was born and raised in Honolulu, grew up on the water, and loves all water sports, especially sailing. She also throws pottery as a hobby and enjoys spending time with her family.
